ABOUT ME

Like most people on CS, I enjoy meeting new people from different walks of life and other parts of the world. I get along with just about everyone and find it generally easy to strike up a conversation.

Some of my favorite things include live music, impromptu roadtrips, getting lost in nature, and connecting with people.

I have lived in beautiful Clearwater, FL most of my life. I dabble in courses at St Petersburg College when I can.

Every year for half a decade, my girlfriend Niki and I get out of Florida for a few months looking for great hikes and working at music festivals in between. Together we've knocked out 39 states, 24 music festivals and 26 national parks. Niki started a tumblog for her photography at www.festpossessed.com.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Nothing beats the feeling of having friends in a new place. We have stayed with lots of people we meet in our travels, but we typically travel spur of the moment and rely on the kindness of friends of friends. I really should be more proactive and plan ahead. One of these days when I have extra money laying around I'll get verified.

I love playing tourist in my own city. If you are looking for things to do in my town, message me and I'll show you the best stuff around.

Interests

Things that make me happy include mindfulness, road trips, music festivals, climbing on things, hiking to waterfalls, last minute planning, natural wonders, craft brews, IPAs, hammocking, tea, philosophical discussions, technology, futurology, experiences, watching documentaries, Bonnaroo, photography, photographing my cat, and meeting new people.

Can I say that I am genuinely interested in everything? I'm fascinated by the world around me. Every day is a chance to learn something new.

I like Netflix documentaries, Mel Brooks, low budget horror movies, indie movies, and anything Marvel produces. Favorite shows: Adventure Time!, Breaking Bad, Comedy Bang Bang, New Girl, Daredevil, Agent Carter, Kroll Show

Music short list: Tycho, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, Flaming Lips, Beatles, Daft Punk, Neutral Milk Hotel, STS9, and dozens more. I listen to anything with a beat. I particularly like music that has something interesting to offer.
Current obsessions: NuDisco, Livetronica, Future Rock

I'm not very good at sitting through an entire book, but I like anything written by Chuck Palahniuk.
