About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I want to travel and see everything, and when hosting friends learn all I can about them and their country so that I may add it to my list in the future.
ABOUT ME
A 51-year-old male that has recently rediscovered my travel bug. I used to go on a solo trip at the drop of a hat but once I got married and had kids I had to do the responsible thing. Now I am divorced and kids are grown. It's time for me to travel again and log some new amazing friends and memories.
PHILOSOPHY
Work to live, not live to work!! I heard it from a stranger that soon became a very dear friend and have tried to follow that philosophy since '87 with a few bouts of insanity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Getting a feel for this new type of travel.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't have a lot of couch surfing experience to share at this time. Planning a long trip to Thailand soon. Hoping to find friends to stay with as well as experience local late life with. Are
Interests
I love the outdoors, camping, sunbathing, trying new foods and wines. I am kind of shy when first getting to know someone but then I blossom like a flower and really opened up. Would love to find someone to share travel and other interest with along my journey.

Music, Movies, and Books
My three favorite movies are 8 seconds, smokey and the bandit, urban cowboy. I like to read a few different authors. James Patterson, Andrew Vachss, Nicholas Sparks. I enjoy all genres of music but my true favorite would be 70s country or light rock.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I took a trip a couple years ago by train from Denver to San Francisco. Stayed a few days and experienced the bay area. Hopped on another train to Seattle and spent a week on a little island off the coast called Vashon. Then last minute decided to take and Alaskan cruise. The whole trip was amazing and very satisfying.
Teach, Learn, Share
No matter where I am geographically or in life I always have something to share with anyone that is nearby. I enjoy teaching anything that I have learned over my 50 years on this earth. For the past 10 years or so I have felt like my calling was to go to Honduras and teach English. I still feel that way but I am also following whatever path life lays before me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The only real thing I could share with a host would be my knowledge of my local area. I currently drive for Uber and Lyft full-time and know the lay of the land and the current specials for almost anywhere in the area.
Countries I’ve Visited
Belize, Canada, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Virgin Islands, British
