Hello to the couchsurfer reading this!

I'm Stacy and am currently staying in Tokyo. I'm studying textile design here and when I have the time I take in some graphic design projects.

It is really nice to meet you! When I was young, I hardly had much chances to travel around with my family. After I got my first job, I saved my money and started travelling and found so much joy in it. I can't wait to see more of the world.

I love telling jokes, making silly moves to music and flea market hunting. Good conversations are a joy. Anything from design, to music, to pretty much anything under the sun, it is nice to sit down with a cup of coffee or glass of beer to with someone and see things from a new perspective. If we ever get to meet up and converse, I hope that I would be able to introduce myself better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I was living in Singapore, I brought many awesome CSers around interesting places! Each and every conversation has been really meaningful and priceless. not to mention, real fun.

I've met really good friends through CS when I travel alone. Dorothy from Hong kong, and staying with Garrett in Niseko, Hokkaido. I hope to meet more amazing people through time here. My home is small in Tokyo so I can't really host, but if you'd like to know more about Tokyo and its many facets, feel free to let me know and maybe we can go around sometime!

Interests

Photography, Art, Graphic Design, music, hanging out with good friends.

When it comes to travelling, I tend to check out where the nice small concept shops, design bookshops or cafes are hidden at. Or I would be scouring for things at the flea market. Or just simply walking and discovering things that way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The small little things are always amazing. However, one of the best things I've felt was waking up to a fresh dust of snow on my rooftop and the beautiful view of Mt. Yotei when I was working in Hokkaido.

Teach, Learn, Share

Singlish (Singaporean's version of speaking english)! And I think having a great conversation with someone makes learning and sharing boundless.

oh, i have some good/ bad jokes you can keep if you'd like to listen. Some people just keep it when they think it is bad. Makes a good icebreaker. ;)
