ABOUT ME
Hello! I'm really excited about CouchSurfing. I joined in May 2009 and have been loving CS ever since!
I'm a student and a musician (I didn't say a great one, but a musician). I'm very interested in travel and the human connections it can create.
PHILOSOPHY
"Leap and the net will appear." -Zen saying
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to have a fruitful hosting career, as soon as I get a more permanent base of operations. Even though I can't host, I live in New York and am very glad to show you around, recommend some places to see, share a meal or coffee, etc.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I grew up around many a couchsurfer and it inspired me to be one as well. We always had some person/couple/family in our house, on our couch and in our lives and it really enriched my childhood.
Interests
At home I enjoy volunteering, jamming, community activity and activism, as well as the simple pleasures- plants in the windowsill, a good book (or movie, or CD), and most importantly being around wonderful people!

Music, Movies, and Books
I love to read mysteries, comedies or almost any poetry. Nikki Giovanni is my favorite poet.
Music- I started out playing classical and have ventured a little into jazz, I like to listen to (seriously) almost anything. I'm currently having a love affair with all varieties of Turkish music, thanks to my friends and travels there.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you viola, violin, a little piano, a little guitar, etc. I can't cook but I am skilled at making instant coffee ;)
And I hope to learn whatever you will teach me!
