About Me
Hello!
I am a young traveler on my way to Alaska looking to meet some cool folks along the way!
I come from the Southern states and began learning to cook at a young age in Raleigh, NC. I studied liberal arts in college for a while before leaving to begin cooking at a professional level at various restaurants around the south. I then moved to Seattle, Washington in 2016 and started working at a Tapas restaurant which proved to be a wonderful introduction into Spanish cuisine and continues to prove to be a ever expanding world of flavor with the more I learn. I then left to work on an organic garden to table farm in Skagway, Alaska which was an amazing experience in of itself but more so due to the connection I was able to make wth the people there. Since then I have been traveling and trying to see and learn as much as possible about sustainable lifestyles in order to further my ideals.

Music, Movies, and Books
-M U S I C-
Music is an extremely important part of my life and I have thusly dedicated quite a bit of it to playing in various metal/grind/punk bands. I currently play music in a recording based Black Metal band called Sardonic Smile and as you can imagine I listen to quite a bit of metal specifically black metal. Favorite bands include Ash Borer, Enslaved, Volahn, Silencer, Shining, Lifelover, and many more. Although I love metal I also love all types of music such as 80's/90's hip-hop, bebop/acid/free jazz, various kinds of punk/grind, psychedelia, electronica, ragga roots raggae, goth, gothraggae, and much, much more.
Movies
I enjoy all kinds of movies but some of my favorites include Slackers, Predator, T2, Holy Mountain, El Topo, Conan the Barbarian, Road Warrior, anything by Werner Herzog, etc.
Books
I enjoy reading various kinds of literature but some of my favorite authors include Jack London, Hemingway, Bukowski, Kerouac, Burroughs, Simone de Beauvior, Camus, various graphic novels, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Probably the coolest thing I did in 2017 was during the time when I was living in Skagway, Alaska. I took four days off and hiked the 40 miles of the Chilkoot trail by myself. It was an amazing experience considering the Chilkoot was the site where many of the prospectors walked back in 1897 to get into the gold fields of the Yukon and walking it you could still see all the artifacts and things that were left behind by the miners that still compromise a good portion of the trail. It was a humbling experience walking the same footsteps that the miners walked 100+ years ago as well as the vast solitude and magnificence of the ancient forests that make up the Yukon. Needless to say it was an amazing experience that has since been branded onto my soul.
