About Me

I'm a 26-year-old program director at a summer camp, and I absolutely love what I do. Being surrounded by the beauty of nature and creating amazing experiences for young campers brings me joy. When I'm not busy with camp activities, you can find me hiking, whitewater kayaking, fly fishing, or rockclimbing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing to connect with locals from the area and experience their culture from the most authentic perspective. I believe that immersing myself in the local community and learning from their traditions and way of life is the best way to truly understand a place and create meaningful memories and friendships.

Interests

I like whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. Traveling is my way of exploring the world at a leisurely pace, and I've fallen in love with South East Asia, India, and Nepal, with Myanmar holding a special place in my heart for its incredible people.

Music, Movies, and Books

In the realm of books, I find myself drawn to a wide variety of genres. Some books include, "East of Eden," "Death of Ivan Illych," "Game of Thrones," and "7 Years in Tibet."

When it comes to music, I'm captivated by the soulful melodies of Mumford and Sons, the introspective tunes of Tow'r's, The Ballroom Thieves, and the Avett Brothers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most exhilarating adventures I've had was climbing Pico de Orizaba in Mexico. The rugged terrain, towering glaciers, and breathtaking views made every step worth it. Standing at the summit of Mexico's highest volcano, I felt an incredible sense of accomplishment and a deep connection with the raw beauty of nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach others about my expertise in outdoor sports such as whitewater kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking. I'm also knowledgeable about working at a summer camp and can share insights and tips in that area. In terms of learning, I'm always open to expanding my horizons by learning about different cultures, languages, and unique experiences. I'm eager to share stories, connect with others, and create a mutual exchange of knowledge and perspectives.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a guest, I can share my passion for outdoor sports and adventure activities, offering guidance and even participating in activities with my hosts if they're interested. I can also share stories and experiences from my travels, providing insights into different cultures and the people I've met along the way, fostering mutual learning and connection during our time together.
