About Me
Hello! I'm Justin, 25 years old, and currently heading back to the states from Sydney Australia after staying here just over a year. I'm an audio engineer, language enthusiast, English and music teacher, and love to cook. I'm more than happy to offer up some cooking skills, or help with any audio questions, problems, services, or training in exchange for some space! I also have some home remodeling experience, and fire/ water restoration experience, and would be happy to give some tips on anything, or help fixing up some things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My current purpose for being on here is that I'm stopping in Cali before returning home to Chicago since it's on the way back, and I've always wanted to see California. I wasn't originally planning on having to couch surf, but the tail end of my trip and making my way home is costing me a fair amount more than I had originally anticipated. I shouldn't be too taxing on anyone's housing, as I'll be mainly seeing an old friend there for the majority of my stop there.

Music, Movies, and Books
I grew up on metal mostly, but later expanded to electronic music. I also greatly enjoying classical music, swing music, and a bit of rock, alternative rock, and some indie. As an audio engineer, I can appreciate any quality music, these are just my personal listening preferences.
These days I prefer comedy, but I can always appreciate a good horror or action film.
When it comes to books, I typically only read astronomy books, and occasionally a few other science books. I've also read a few horror books, and a little bit of adventure.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to Australia by myself to try and start a new life. Unfortunately, staying was harder than anticipated. On the plus side, I know how to make it happen my second time around!
Teach, Learn, Share
Music, science, cultures, and (if the conversation is able to stay tame) politics.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm more than happy to offer any musical help, home theater setup/ questions, music production tips, or any info on any places I've travelled. I don't mind sharing some of my personal cooking recipes, and favorites. I can also help with some small home remodeling tasks.
