About Me
Hi! My name is Justin! I am married to a Filipina named Cha and our son, Kyro, was born in 2018. I live in Fargo, ND. I teach English from home online to Chinese children.
We will be traveling back and forth between the United States and the Philippines throughout our life and would love to check out some other countries as well! I look forward to networking with many different people and making new friends.
I am a very perky and friendly person. I smile and laugh all of the time. I'm always actively trying to bring a feeling of joy into my environment. I love to love people.
I am a very fun, goofy, and out-going person. Cha and I are both very easy-going and open-minded people, and are willing to try out new things!

Music, Movies, and Books
I will listen to almost anything. I will often pick random playlists on Spotify or Youtube to discover new artists.
I really enjoy old music from the 1950s-1980s, jazz, classical, rock, indie, a little punk rock, and many others.
My favorite bands are The Almost, Queen, Lake Street Dive, Thousand Foot Krutch, Green Day, Buddy Rich (and other swing/bop groups) and several others.
I enjoy watching Doctor Who, Stranger Things, and many other random shows. I am an anime fan, my favorites are Naruto, Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Yu Yu Hakusho. I love The Office and am currently watching Parks & Recreation.
My favorite author right now is Orson Scott Card, the writer of the Ender's Game series. I love the way he introduces the reader to the world he's created and how well he fleshes out the characters. I've historically read quite a bit of fantasy/sci-fi fiction, but I think I could pick up any book so long as it is a story that is told well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Driven across the United States to Los Angeles with 14 of my friends, all in one big van! That was a lot of fun. The scenery was great, and the times on the beach playing frisbee with strangers were very memorable and fun. Wherever I travel, I make sure to bring my frisbee, just in case. :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love teaching AND learning! I went to college to be a teacher, so that makes sense. I have been involved in teaching settings since I started giving guitar lessons when I was 15 years old.
I enjoy having deep conversations with people and hearing perspectives different from my own. I'm always in search of a new way to look at life.
I am very interested in the idea of being self-sufficient and have been exploring how to grow my own food in recent years. I have my first outdoor garden this year, and I also have an indoor aquaponic garden.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I enjoy cooking and sharing conversation with people! I love good coffee, and would love to share coffee from where I live. My wife and I would also love to cook for you, as we each have an interesting repertoire of dishes to cook.
