That is the plan, anyway. And I use the term 'plan' in its loosest sense: I tend more towards spontanety, following leads and opportunities, making local friends and following their advice ... long story short: start date yet to be determined, route yet to be determined but likely to be circuitous and suitably diverse, given the point of the project--from West to East via the South in a general cross-cultural meandering fashion. November 5 in Washington DC, where else!

ABOUT ME

Laid back Aussie, open-minded but well within the category of 'liberal' in an American context. Politically minded, but not in a boring way, more interested in the driving forces of the human milieu. I've been through a few challenges over the past few years, so just decided while becoming immersed in the most fascinating convergence of historical and cultural forces--became so exclusively tuned into live US streaming cable and internet news that I inadvertently adapted to New York/Washington time zone (16 hours behind Sydney) and started getting family birthday's off by a day lol

PHILOSOPHY

I'm open-minded (but not to extent that my brain is in danger of falling out), an atheist but not here to judge other's belief systems, a believer in striving for social harmony, and someone who thinks grown adults can follow whatever path they want, with the only exception being where their behaviour harms someone else.

I hotes many good peeps from around the world when I live in Canberra and worked at the Parliament of the Commonwealth ... Things changed over the ensuing years and here I am, in the scenic and leisurely paced New South Wales coastal city of Newcastle, about 160kms north of Sydney,

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Friends with many couchsurfers when traveling in Europe, with a long stay in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Welcomed a number of peeps to my apartment in Canberra, will welcome any fellow surfers to my very humble abode if the planets align .... AND LOOKING FOR AMERICANS for my madcap election year firsthand experience of history, while having fun along the way!

The topics I can get stuck into are only limited by the scope of the person(s) I'm in discussion with! I'm an independent thinker, non-judgmental and like to hear as many views on as many subjects as possible! Having said that, I don't badger people with chatter when they're not in the zone for it :)

Movies, movies, books? Not a fan of this question. I'm very much a mood person--meaning, I may feel like some heavy electrofreak techno or I may feel like Beethoven. Same for movies and books. Except I don't think the electrofreak genre would translate well to the other mediums :)
