Overview
About Me
I am a second year doctorate student at Iowa State University pursuing my PhD in Kinesiology. In the summers I am a wildland firefighter on a 20-person hotshot crew all throughout the western United States. This past summer I backpacked the Pacific Crest Trail. For 89 days I lived in the woods without a tent or stove, it was awesome! During the school year I enjoy running, playing sports, and going out and experiencing life. I completed my masters at Minnesota State University, Mankato in Sport and Exercise Psychology and my Bachelors at Washington State University in Psychology and Sociology.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I love the people that I meet on here. Staying with someone you don't know or having someone open up their house to you requires so much trust and it is such a cool thing to be a part of. It's one thing to stay in a motel, but a complete other thing to meet local people and form relationships. To me that is what community is all about and what we need more of in today's times!
