Hi there!

I'm just a friendly Canadian guy eager to see the world, make some local friends and save a couple bucks in the process! (insert any other Couchsurfing cliche here). I'm currently attending Tsinghua University to learn Mandarin, so unfortunately can't host in my dorm, but would be keen to meet up! My favourite thing to do in a new city is to "get lost" for a few hours, drink it all in, and hopefully be a little bit baffled by what's going on around me. Routines are overrated!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've done the hostel track on most of my previous trips, and would love to get more of a local perspective. I'd love to take your favourite stroll, visit the best market or learn your favourite recipe!

Currently reading 1984, definitely looking for book recommendations! There's not many books I've cracked that I didn't like, but I'd have to confess Harry Potter as a favourite - 6-year-old Justin would be devastated if I said anything otherwise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once ate a tarantula while in Cambodia! Maybe not the most "amazing" thing I've done, but it's fun to watch people react when I tell the story!

I'm pretty much open to anything! Would love to improve my French and Chinese language skills (c'est très mal en ce moment), or learn basically anything about your city and culture!
