Overview
About Me
Hi my name is Justin!
Grown up on the Hamburg waterside although really a mongrel with some English and Polish ancestry... I would describe myself as a hopeless romantic and slightly crazy anarchist who is full of ideas and plans - I love good stories so meeting other travellers inspires me and fills me with happyness! In the last years I have been living in Scotland but by chance I have ended up in Italy, first in Trieste and now Genoa... I love to host people like a mamma, cook, eat, show you around (if I can find the time!), sing, make music and just simply enjoy company! I am a very enthusiastic person and I will probably end up talking about everything :-) travelling, people, art, architecture and building houses, cooking, philosophising, more cooking, food, food production etc etc. but I can totally adapt to any persons needs and preferences, and I would never pressure anybody!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I would love to travel more and meet people from all walks of life, here new viewpoints and learn new things. This is what inspires me, what makes me be in love with life. I have been helped out by strangers so many times on the road and I am so grateful for this ...the idea of being able to help fellow travellers in whatever way I can makes me very happy!
Interests
Sketching, drawing, art, architecture, music (both playing and listening), cooking, travelling of course (also hitchiking and I love to travel by bicycle!), walking and mountain climbing, foraging wild foods and cooking them aswell, being social and talking about life, ideas, plans, philosophies and adventures, poetry, gardening & agriculture, living the good life!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a bit of everything really...although what I love most is music that conveys feeling, passion, a message & attitude - in that I listen to the whole palate from folk to rap!...and I have a soft spot for Britney Spears.
Books I have read? Hemingway, Morpurgo, Hosseini, quite some poetry and an awful lot of cook books ...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Years ago I hitchiked a lot through Eastern Europe and also through France! I received so much spontaneous kindness along the way that I decided that I would return this hospitality, whenever I would get the chance!
Teach, Learn, Share
Experiences and the memories they create are everything there is about life. In this sense I aspire to be open and learn from every person I meet on my path
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I can make it work with my schedule I will gladly show you around Genoa, which is an amazing and beautiful city - there is no shortage of things to see and do here so I will be happy to point you into some directions. What I will definitly do is feed you...my speciality is fresh seafood (self-caught if your lucky)and vegetarian italian cuisine but I can cater for absolutely any taste or inclination! Just let me know what you like and I will accept it as a challenge :D
