About Me
Hey, everybody!
Cliff notes style: raised by a single mother in the town of Long Beach, MS (so named after the longest man-made beach in the world which runs along the MS Gulf Coast), dropped out of a public research university where I was studying filmmaking/theory, have lived in MS-LA-OR-TX-AK, written and recorded and forgotten and lost countless songs over the last 10 years, used to ride bikes 30 miles daily.
Traveling the east coast this autumn and need your help along the way!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the alternative I'm seeking to hostels (they’re a rarity in the US) and hotels (no fun!) to experience a more personal and relaxed environment, and meet people who are locals!

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: First and second wave rock 'n' roll, lots and lots of Jazz, Brian Jones-era Rolling Stones, House music, and whatever styles/themes/etc I'm currently making playlists about!
Movies: Absolutely love Charlie Chaplin, Jacques Tati, Marx Brothers comedies, and the Preston Sturges movie Christmas in July.
Books: Always leafing through something new. Recently read Supernatural Strategies for Making a Rock 'n' Group - my type of book! Over the years I've enjoyed The Autobiography of Malcolm X and the writings of and about Simone Weil.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched from atop a water tower a double rainbow fill the midnight sky of Alaska, red canyons of clouds circling the periphery as the sunset glistened from behind
