I work hard, like to relax, enjoy being in nature, a good sunset, a book, a nap, a hike, a bike ride. I like to write long letters to dear friends as the sun comes up, when I have time. Gratitude.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to this and the fall is my busy season at work (I have a chimney sweeping business) so I haven't been active yet w/ CS but I'm excited about the possibilities... Especially w/r/t ski season this winter... and for world wide travel opportunities in future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In the days before the internet, when I was hitchiking in Europe, I ended up surfing a lot of couches of the people who picked me up hitchhiking. Those were great experiences.

Too many to list: But I'm a fan of: David Foster Wallace's nonfiction, David Sedaris, Augusten Burroughs, Malcom Gladwell... I'm a fan of the personal essay. Movies? OMG there are so many I like, same with musicians/bands.

When I was on the staff of the Obama campaign in 2008, I was constantly amazed at how challenging and rewarding the work was, and constantly amazed at the opportunity of participating in a historic moment.
