ABOUT ME

I'm currently teaching English at a university here in Jax, but I'm always looking to explore more of this wide world in hopes of finding the next place to live and teach. I've been told that I am shy, but around the right people, I open up. I am a self-proclaimed beach bum, and until this year have never lived more than 5min. from the ocean. HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, just looking to surf the world. Hosted and surfed a couple times and nothing but positive people and positive experiences. I don't know of any other way to travel anymore!

If I'm surfing or hosting, I'm totally willing to have a Skype chat beforehand to say hello!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

-Spent the night with a couple in Tennessee after seeing Modest Mouse play in Knoxville. Very hospitable and welcoming. They welcomed my girlfriend and the time and me after the show at about 1am and in the morning we woke up to an empty house and a note. I've never felt so trusted by strangers. I definitely want to return that gigantic favor in the future!
- Hosted two Frenchmen biking from southern France to Indonesia. Definitely good guys with lots of stories to tell. Wish them the best of luck!
- Surfed in Paris with a great guy who knows how to host! Great parties, great food, great drink! Hope to meet again.
- Surfed in Portugal with a house of very welcoming people who literally saved my life. I owe them a lot! Thanks again guys and girls.
-Hosted a nice French couple for the night. Wonderful talks and an even better dinner.
