ABOUT ME

Hello, I grew up in rural Canada and then went to the USA for college. There I dedicated most of my time to the track team and the 400m hurdles. After graduation I took a job in Ghana and have bounced around the world a bit when not working.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently attempting to circumnavigate the world without flying. The flexible plan is to go from Toronto to LA then sail to New Zealand. From there it's Australia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, Europe, then home. In the process I'm hoping to raise funds for a youth innovation competition in Sierra Leone, Innovate Salone.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had almost nothing but incredible experiences with Couchsurfing. I would not have been able to chase my current dream without the help of so many fantastic people around the globe. Great community.

Interests

Any kind of physical activity and movies mostly. I think I enjoy natural scenery the most. Hiking in a remote piece of secluded nature is hard to beat.

Movies: Forrest Gump, Snatch, Blues Brothers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Predator, Inglorious Basterds, Fast and Furious 5+6. A film from any genre doing its genre justice.

Books: Anything history from the past 120 years.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

An off-the-beaten path view of Lake Peyto in Banff National Park had me awestruck like never before.
