ABOUT ME

Ahhh, I am never good at these "self description" things... Well basics: My name is Justin, recent mechanical engineering grad now working in Rhode Island. I always enjoy a good joke and laughing with a group of people. I am always open to trying new foods and new experiences. I feel trying new things outside of your normal comfort zone is a great way to grow as a person, and possibly even find new things you like! I really like talking. Haha and what I mean by that is, is that I enjoy having a long conversation with someone about a topic we find mutually interesting. You can read my "interests" to see if there is anything that you also find interesting. Personality wise, I'm a pretty chill, go with the flow kind of person. I'm not a huge party-er, but do enjoy that kind of scene on occasion. Overall I have a very "laissez-faire" attitude about a lot of things, and like doing things as they come. Will add more to this later.

PHILOSOPHY

Let it be. You do you, I'll do me. However you wanna look at it, I feel everyone should do exactly what they want, how they want, and let everyone else do the same, so long as it doesn't hurt or impede anyone from doing what they want. I feel too many people are caught up in the small insignificant things in life that stress them out. I know I do, and I try hard to take a step back sometimes, look at the big picture, and just chill.

Interests

I love reading all kinds of books. Enjoy listening to and playing music, both at home and at smaller venues. I enjoy biking, even though I'm not in "top form" physical shape haha I like nature, and hiking, and some gardening. I fancy myself a gearhead, and as such I thoroughly enjoy working on my motorcycles and car, and even my bicycle. And as I mentioned before, I love experiencing and trying new things.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a hugeeee Star Wars nerd hahaha So thats a big part of my movies/books. I'm a big fan of dystopian literature, and a lot of sci fi kind of stuff. However, I also like science based non-fiction, as well as manga. My interests are all over the board. There isn't a lot I don't like to read. Music is the same way, I like all sort of genres, it really depends on what I'm feeling that day. Not a huge movie person, but I do enjoy them. Big fan of Tarantino, some anime. Again, not too specific, I can enjoy almost any type of movie, from high tension action to a documentary.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to Portugal, which was the first time I've been to Europe, was an amazing experience, and one I hope to do again. It is a completely different world there, and one that left me in awe the whole time I was there.
Another was the first time I played with a band in front of a moderately big crowd, and had got a standing ovation at the end. There is no substitute for that kind of experience, and it was an amazing one at that.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm in school for engineering, but I've always liked tinkering and taking things apart, and its gotten to the point where I have some understanding of cars and motorcycles, so I suppose that's one skill I have. I can also play a few instruments, and always enjoy playing people regardless of what they play or how they play it. So if you roll through town and want to jam, I would be more than happy to oblige.
