About Me

I am a Lithuanian journalism graduate currently residing in London.
In my not that long life of 24 years I've lived in numerous countries across the globe - from Lithuania to United States - and at this point of my life I keep continuing on doing it. Living abroad truly is thrilling and eye-opening experience.

People close to me describe me as friendly, optimistic, open-minded, a bit crazy and always ready for adventure. I am all about positivity and enjoy meeting new people.

I am eager to explore the world - and I wanna have fun doing it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First of all, I'd like to emphasise why I'm NOT on Couchsurfing - I DO NOT use CS as a dating site. If you do, that's fine, just please save us both time and don't message me. The idea behind CS is to connect people around the globe, make friends while traveling and see an unknown place from local's perspective so I prefer using this site for the original purpose it was created for.

Why am I here? I love traveling and I wanna be a traveler - being only a tourist in a new place was never enough for me, I always try to get to the essence of the place, even if I'm there just for a few days. I started traveling when I was 13 and to this day I think that traveling is the best way to explore the world around you and learn a lot of things about yourself, not to mention make new friends around the globe! That's why I find CS so fascinating.

Currently I'm just surfing as I don't have a possibility to host yet, but once I settle down somewhere, would love to have surfers at my house.

Interests

Travelling, getting to know other cultures and their people. I want to go everywhere I haven't been to yet!

Movies - I'm a movie maniac.

Yoga.

And art, art, art! Photography, painting, architecture - you name it, it's a reflection of our history.

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many!

Music: I love listening to oldies, especially classic rock. My favourite band is AC/DC. However, my music preferences vary depending on my mood. If I'm out dancing, I don't mind popular dance hits either.

Movies: I'm a huge fan of Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, Martin Scorsese. I also enjoyed watching The Matrix, The Intouchables, Whiplash, The Lion King, Princess Mononoke, Room, Jurassic Park, Con Air, Face/Off and many many more.

Books: the best ones for me are the ones based on true stories or lives. Shantaram, Into Thin Air, ect.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving! You just can't describe it with words.

Singing in a choir with Turkish professors IN TURKISH not understanding a word :D it was fun though.

Celebrating New Year in Istanbul.

Going to live to foreign countries for extended periods of time (and all the amazing people I met there).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some Lithuanian - one of the most difficult languages in the world.

Also, I can make you some delicious Lithuanian (or not Lithuanian, I'm not to bad at both) dishes, such as deep fried garlic bread. I know, sounds amazing, doesn't it? ;)
