Interests
Well for starters - I'm working a full-time job as a ... tram driver! I drive people around Poznan :) It's a hard job, 10 hrs a day, heat, stress, traffic, angry passengers (often drunk, or just mad for all the wrong things in the world). WHY I DO LIKE DOING WHAT I DO? Imagine that, for a while you drive a big, big car and you just invite people from the streets and help them reach their destiny. There are about 20, 30, 50 of them. Now imagine how full and different from each other their lives are. Old lady who survived the worst imaginable - war, couple of youngsters in love, a young mother with her first baby, stressed about her careers in this unfriendly, bureaucratic world. So much diversity, and for a little while about 10-15 minutes all their paths converge in this tiny place. So much opportunity to LEARN, meet, experience, exchange, fall in love. Or just APPRECIATE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.
I love Russian language and culture, fallen in love with Ukraine. Lived in NYC - tasted liberty, lived in Wroclaw - felt like home. I do somecomputer graphics and game design, photography. General interests: mass transit, science fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Старый город хочет нам помочь.
December on my way to Wrocław, in the middle of nowhere, our train broke down. Damn cold. As we await help, I start to get to know fellow passengers. I found out that a pretty girl sitting nearby was living at the same time in the same neighborhood in Chicago suburbia which I was visiting. How cool is that.
Really it might be coincidence, it might be destiny. During few of my trips, hitchhiking around Europe, I met a bunch of such cool people, who helped me in most critical situations. It might be too long to list all of the but ... the most important thing I learned is ... there is HOPE in people. No matter how you think your life sucks, how much a bad place is this world, there always will be somebody that can make an impact on your life.
Like the french girl who helped us, when after midnight, stranded in Paris we had no place to go.
The group of young scouts who took us in while we were desperately searching a roof in Madrid. (Then we were cooking a 3kg of spaghetti to feed us all).
A fellow tram-driver in Innsbruck who took me into the cabin and showed me around - I LOVE YOU BOSS.
A pair of young czechs who, unexpectedly, took us to see the atomic plant.
Fellow New-Yorkers who helped me bare my loneliness.
Martin - who had taken care of me when I was homeless for few months.
Maciej - helped me find my way in Poznan. Without him, I'd be so lost.
Finally: May (travel.exe), Plevque, Voelkmann - the best of the bestest. True friends, no matter what.
