About Me

I'm married with two daughters, who are a freshman in university and a high school senior. I have a part time job as an English instructor. I'm interested in travelling around and experiencing different cultures . I've traveled in many different countries so far. As long as people don't feel uncomfortable with me, I'm willing to speak to anyone. I'm sure there are lots of things that I can learn from others while talking with each other even though we've never seen before. Since I am working part time, I also do some volunteer work as a volunteer interpreter for our city government.
I've been one of 8 honorary interperters appointed by our city.
The town where I live at present is small and peaceful, which might be good for people wanting to get relaxed avoiding hustle and bustle in the big cities.
It is not that common to find expats around here. If anyone visits me and our town, you'll be welcome from the bottom of my heart.
I'm not a professionally good cook but you'll enjoy and love food I cook for you.
Living in an apartment building, I don't have my own garden or yard.
But I love growing potted plants in my place. Waking up every morning, I go to and take care of them by saying a few words.
I try my best to protect environment by trying not to use disposable items.
And once I buy something I need for me and for my place, I keep it for very long time.
Come to Korea!

My pet peeve: cigarette smoke

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While getting around abroad, I got excited about different cultures and people. But I couldn't have enough opportunities and time to learn more. Now i'm ready to host surfers from other countries who are trying to get to know my country and culture by staying in my place.
People I meet and talk with while traveling in many different countries are just like living museums. I'd like to share authentic Korean things.

Interests

I'm interested in learning foreign languages and working out in the gym.
Recently I've lost 6 kilos with the help of my husband.
Now i'm ready to travel light physically, indeed.
I have been a volunteer interpreter of BBB Korea for three years. It's a non-profit organization which is helping people having language problems. My language in service is English. Anyone who has language barrier while traveling or dealing with daily stuff can request this organization by calling 1588-5644. It's free of charge!! Just give a call!
