ABOUT ME

I love to laugh. I like finding the humor in everyday happenings; I guess it makes life more interesting. I love food, eating mostly but once in a while when inspiration strikes, I whip up something from the kitchen and surprise everyone (including myself). Most of the time its something good but mostly likely its copied from a recipe I found online or read in a magazine.:-D I love magazines, I think I have too much of them- from food to fashion to lifestyle to travel and some men's magazines too (Rogue here in the Philippines is a must-read, also Preview magazine). But what I absolutely love is to travel. I think I'm at my best when I'm travelling and discovering new things. There's so much out there I wish I could experience in the near future, and not just read about from one of the many magazines in my room.

PHILOSOPHY

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Sometimes, it may give you diarrhea, but inevitably will make your stronger in the end.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

well, I just started.I've learned about this site from a travel workshop years ago in ROX Philippines, saw it again in a magazine and signed up last year but really started getting into it this year. Hopefully this would turn out to be a good experience.

兴趣

The things that really grab my attention would be random, unselfish acts of kindness. Its cheesy, but I'm always overwhelmed and happy when I see that and of course would be happy if I could reciprocate as well. On a not so serious note, other things that I definitely grab my attention would be sales, bargains and promos :-) I'm a sucker for discounts, deal of the day websites, promo airfares (getting a USD 78 round trip flights from Manila to Singapore is something i consider an accomplishment, I'm embarrassed to say).

How do I spend my time? well aside from work, I love going and eating out with my friends, trying new restaurants (or at least new items from the menu) or food markets, seeing a band perform once in awhile and shopping of course. I don't know if this would give me points, but I also love spending time in the bookstore, just browsing and sometimes ending up buying a book or a magazine. And, when I'm broke(sad to say it happens hehe) I hang out at a friends house or read books or blogs from the internet or watch my favorite TV shows (Suits, Glee, American Horror Story etc) online.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Well, I work in the hotel industry and sometimes it always makes me happy when I see and read comments that the guests have enjoyed their stay. For me, its amazing when guests write commendations either on a job well done or simply touched by the personalized service received. To some its not a big deal, but I think its not ordinary that a person would take time from his busy schedule, remember a person's name even and write it all on paper. Its a selfless act (unless he wants freebies or upgrades on his next stay then that just spoils the whole thing)and something that I've always find amazing

Another thing I find amazing is when I discover interesting places, delicious food and surprisingly, hospitable people when I travel. I may be moving soon to a different country due to work (details not final yet as of this writing) and I find that fascinating as everything seem to fall into place. Like its meant to be? Sorry for the cheesiness, getting carried away again.. hehe :-D

Lastly, meeting celebrities always leave me awestruck (more like starstruck), but sometimes I'm too proud to admit it. :-D
