HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosted my first couch surfers in 2009. It was really fun. Now, with my "empty nest", I am ready to travel and enjoy new experiences. When I stay in hotels, I always visit the local watering hole (i.e. public house, saloon, bar, lounge, etc. ). Getting to know the locals gives me a chance to feel I've had a much richer experience. This is true when I stay at a fine resort or a cheapie roadside motor-inn.

I am a writer as mentioned above so there's that. I was also raised by a computer geek, so I'm good computer stuff like social networking, online marketing and content management. The other half was an English major, which makes me a good editor too. I have a fund-raising and journalism background, along with experience teaching. And, I also know how to cook, sew and do many domestic tasks like cooking, sewing, gardening, and more. I also have some knowledge of natural remedies and can share my experience and healing techniques. I often seem to attract those who've experienced death or other loss. I must be easy to hang with and I know I'm upbeat 98% of the time.

Bodywork trade/healer.
Anything domestic. Need to learn how to sew on a button? Cook? Iron?
Maybe you need help with computer stuff or writing a business letter. Marketing and sales were my profession for many years. That and publishing.
I also like to tell stories, sing songs, drink wine (or beer!) and dance into the wee hours.
