I have a goal of meeting 1 new person everyday. If I'm successful at that, then I try to help one new person everyday. I have a goal to help the world, but I'm not trying to achieve world piece. I simply think it's a great idea to spend each day engaging with as many as possible that you can to spread positivity and try your best to be a light in the world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For a short time last year, I had posted my couch as available but never had any takers when I lived in Blacksburg. As I am in post-grad life transition, I am seeking my first couch-surfing experience (September '14)!

If the TV is on, it's probably on ESPN or the Food Network (but I don't use cable). Recently, like much of the rest of the country, I became obsessed with Orange is the New Black. I recently read The Fault in Our Stars and watched the movie - and both made me tear up a little. I really loved the TV show 24 and, again, will watch just about anything that comes on the Food Network. As far as music, I love all kinds - from hip-hip and R&B to top 40 pop to indie rock to classical to ambient noise - all of the above!

One of the most amazing things I have done in my life time is meeting the First Lady Michelle Obama. While I prefer not to share my political affiliations (or lack thereof, I guess I should say ;) ) I still was honored to meet Mrs. Obama and even be quoted by her in a speech. She quoted my life's motto, "Life is all about what you have done for other people," which you can learn more about at my personal blog, HESONWHEELS.com!
