About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Seek authenticity, in myself, in others, in life.
ABOUT ME
I am fun, sarcastic, responsible, thoughtful, a girly-girl, a bit nerdy sometimes, quirky, kind, and open-minded. I love to learn & study different things-I'm a regular at the library. I have a ridiculously cool (& sexy) cat, who I've trained to sit, jump & fetch.
Yes, I'm eccentric & live alone with my cat, so I fit the category of "crazy cat lady!" But I love socializing & I definitely don't bite, haha.
PHILOSOPHY
You are responsible for your own happiness.
Find Zen through meditation & mind-body connection.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm open to get to know you and have a good time together, as well as give you a place to sleep. I am not looking to show you around as a tour guide, though, since I am rather busy with work & different projects. I certainly can give you suggestions on places to see and things to do, though.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Never surfed before. Just started hosting this year, and I couldn't have asked for better experiences! I've loved getting to know people from the other side of the world. There are so many amazing and inspiring individuals on this site. I feel sorry for my friends who do not participate in Couchsurfing, the ones who call me crazy for "letting 'random strangers' stay on my couch". I do understand there is risk, but the types of connections I've made through hosting have changed my life and inspired me. That sort of benefit far outweighs the risk!
Interests
Getting to know someone worth knowing is one of my greatest passions! I love to exercise (hike, dance, Zumba, run, etc.) and live a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy reading and learning, and one of the things I enjoy the most is learning about why people do the things they do. What motivates us? What makes one person's life outlook so very different from another's? I love digging deeper to understand these things, so that maybe I can understand the art of happiness and LIVING more fully. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my greatest moments was when I climbed the Middle Teton, in the Grand Tetons National Park, Wyoming. I was not adjusted to the altitude, cold, scared about falling down icy slopes to my death on the jagged rocks below, and so afraid I just couldn't stop crying and begging my team to turn around. My best friend comforted me and persuaded me to keep climbing up the snow. I was so afraid, but I just pulled my mind away from my fears, and put one foot in front of the next until I reached the top. It was one of the most symbolic struggles I've overcome. It made me feel I could do anything, an invaluable sensation.
