About Me
NOTE: I will be on a trip for the month of August and then I'll be starting my job first week of September. I'll try to start hosting again mid September.
I'm an educator and photographer. You can see some of my work here if you like (needs updating though!)

I love traveling (who on here doesn't), taking pictures, rock climbing, camping, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors. I just came back from a 3-month trip around Europe.
I love meeting travelers and other interesting people. I've done a lot of traveling around the western US (the west is the best) ;) so if you're interested in doing some road tripping and/or seeing national parks while you're here I'm happy to give you some recommendations.
Please read before sending me a request:
1) I would prefer to host non-Americans. For now I'd like to meet and make connections with people from other parts of the world. Especially South America (I'm hoping to go there next Spring) and Europe. Also, bonus points if you're a rock climber ;)
2) I'm gone most weekends (camping and climbing) so weekday hosting is usually better. I will be in town the weekend of Nov 21 (and we're having a party so you'd have the chance to meet a lot of people) and I'll be gone Dec 20-Jan 3.
3) Last minute requests are fine and if you make a request over a month in advance I probably won't be able to commit since my schedule is a bit in flux.
PHILOSOPHY
Experience is the best teacher and I want to experience the world as much as possible!

Music, Movies, and Books
Guns, Germs and Steel, Freakonomics, The Alchemist, Brave New World, etc.
I listen to many different sorts of music. Lot's of folk (Over the Rhine, Natalie Merchant), a bit of mainstream (Coldplay, Lana Del Rey). I'll rock out to some dance/pop (a la David Guetta, One Republic) when the time is right :) Digging Macklemore lately and decided to unabashedly enjoy Ellie Goulding for the time being :P Phosphorescent and James Blake have gotten onto my playlists recently. Mostly I listen to a lot of random playlists/internet radio and whatever my friends introduce me to. I love music but what I'm listening to at a given moment is always changing.
As for movies, I watch mostly documentaries these days. Most recent movie I saw was The Grand Budapest which was entertaining.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many amazing places! Loved Fez and Chefchaouen (the blue city) in Morocco. My time in Jerusalem was amazing. Petra was incredible. In Spain, Ronda and Siurana were beautiful. And many more...
