I have been living in Nelson BC for the last 6 years now, am originally from Ontario. My life consist of me working in the forest as a forest technician. If i'm not working i'll be snowboarding in the winter, rock climbing , festivaling, or travelling. I usually have the winters off because of my job. So spend a lot of my time travelling, snowboarding, or getting artsy during my off season. Summer time is hectic for me, between working, climbing, and performing there is really not much time for anything else.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I made account a long time ago but never used it, 2018 will be my first time using couch surfing. My roommates have always had couch surfers at the house and they have always been fun people to be around. I usually get most hostels for free while travelling Central America because of performing or hosting work shops. By doing this it also got me involved with the community and locals. I can't really do this in Europe so I am giving Couch surfing a go, still a great way of meeting locals and seeing the culture a bit more through there eye's.

Interests

Been fire spinning for the last 3 years now, have been performing for the last two years. I usually use it as a tool for getting into festivals and travelling. I also perform at smaller events like weddings, markets and birthdays. Just spinning and playing with props has always been a passion of mine from a young age. Snowboarding has been a passion of mine since I could walk and until i can't walk really. Rock climbing is a new passion of mine, just started last year and love the rush.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all music really, other country. Some is good but generically sounds bad i think. I am a festival goer so I do enjoy most EDM music but also love live music. Nothing really beats music being made right before your eye's, also really good to spin props too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fire performing has always been a passion of mine and wasn't until last year when I had my first real performance at a festival. Was a big deal to me at least, and if you know much about festivals burning man is known for it's amazing fire performances. This year I had an opportunity to work with an amazing group to perform at burning man. It was a group of 35 performers, and it wasn't just a performance it was also a story being told. It took a lot of practice and dedication but in the end we nailed it! I my self want to direct my own fire shows where I bring story telling, circus arts, and fire spinning together. Being part of this showed me how realistic my vision is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a flow artist and am more than happy to teach other how to spin props or even how to make there own if they desire. I also love to slack line and brought mine with me so would be glad to slack line and teach whoever would like to join
