About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live a good life

ABOUT ME

American immigrant living with my girlfriend and dog in Helsinki. Working as a Wilderness Guide.

Traveling and meeting new people is the best thing in the world. I can't imagine why else we are on this planet if not to experience as much as we can before we leave it. Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to do that.

PHILOSOPHY

Save money on whatever you can when you travel, whether it is transportation or lodging but try to have a good meal. It really is the best way to experience a culture. Never skint on food

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Surf, Host, Hang

Send me an actual request though, the messages are annoying.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great so far

Interests

Personally, I am content to just sit in a pub or around a fire, pass a bottle and swap stories, but I dig a good night out as well from time to time.

I love the outdoors, like to cook and I am big on fitness

Music, Movies, and Books

Love Film, Love Music, Love Reading

Huge Tarantino fan, Monty Python, Sergio Leone westerns, Akira Kurosawa movies, Anything that Pixar has every made, Guy Ritchie films, there really is so much to like out there.

As far as music goes, I am open to everything but what I really love is Blues, Soul, Funk, Classic Rock, RnB, Hip Hop, Bluegrass, Metal, and this Americana Revival that is happening

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen some pretty cool things but um....watching a Typhoon snap trees around us and crack lightning over the bay in Puerto Galera, Philippines while me and my buddy just sipped Rum and listened to funky jungle music. Was incredible to watch nature being so angry and impressive at the same time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I make a pretty mean Adobo

Everyone has something worth learning about but any new recipes are especially welcome.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Benin, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Togo, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Burkina Faso, Cyprus, Finland, Nepal, Philippines, Singapore, United Kingdom, United States
