Overview
About Me
My wife, Leigh Anna, and I quit our jobs in March 2016 to travel the world. We traveled through Central America for a year before returning to the States, and landing in Nashville.
Variety is the spice of life. We love going to new places, trying new things, and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is so much better when you're around friendly faces and can meet some locals. I feel bad for people that book expensive hotel rooms, and then never talk to a person outside the tourism or restaurant industries.
Interests
I do a little bit of a lot of things. In Houston, I'd spend my time playing ice hockey or playing board games. While traveling, I enjoy hiking to explore natural or historical places. Rock climbing and Rocket League are cool too.

Music, Movies, and Books
I watch a lot of movies. I started going through those "top movies every guy needs to see" lists a couple years ago, and I've stuck to the classics ever since. Marlon Brando and Paul Newman are my boys.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leigh Anna and I spent most of 2016 and 2017 traveling through Central America and Mexico. A couple of the things I did while there:
- learned Spanish with 6 weeks of private lessons
- worked on an organic farm for 5 weeks
- crewed a 78 foot concrete sailboat for a month
- became Advanced Open Water certified with SCUBA
- camped out on a volcano and the highest peak in Central America
- hiked into a remote Mayan village
- hitchhiked across Honduras
- lived like surf bums for several weeks
- started a medical tourism business based in San Jose, Costa Rica
What I Can Share with Hosts
