I am an optimistic, extroverted, and passionate visual storyteller curious to learn about myself and others while experiencing life around the world. I greatly value collaboration, fellowship, and new opportunities to make friends.

Authenticity is important to me and I am open and honest about my thoughts, feelings, and beliefs. However, I am always respectful of alternate opinions to my own and encourage others to challenge these ideas so we can learn more from each other.

Being in the outdoors is one of my favorite feelings, especially combined with sports. (see interests). I HATE being bored and will get out of the house whenever I can.

BIG PICTURE:
To pursue my dream of becoming a professional cinematographer in New Zealand. I am returning a year after studying abroad at the University of Auckland in search of an internship to kickstart my career path. As a potential internship is uncertain and may be unpaid I need to be flexible with accommodation and I think Couchsurfing would be a great way to make that happen.

PERSONAL:
I am excited to listen and exchange stories with a diverse variety of people, to learn form the knowledge and experience of local hosts; and to expand my perspective on culture and ways of living life.

Favorite Music:
Definetly depends on a mood basis, but M83, Bad Sons, Tame Impala, and Zac Brown Band are some of my favorite artists. I enjoy alternative, rock, EDM, country, and movie soundtracks. The only music im not a huge fan of is Jazz but hey if its your thing I would be happy to listen along.

Favorite Movies:
Don't worry! Just because I study film hasn't turned into a movie snob! at least not yet. I think there are many different types of great films. Personal favorites of mine are Saving Private Ryan, The Hurt Locker, The Prestige, Inception, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Art of Flight.
