About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meet interesting people and give back after being hosted in Europe/South America
ABOUT ME
I run my own walking tours in Sydney (in English and Chinese) and a small online travel agency focused on young Chinese travellers. I used to be a corporate lawyer but decided I would rather work in a happier industry - so I chose tourism!
I'm originally from Brisbane, studied in Canberra and have lived in China and Taiwan.
In 2013 I backpacked around South America, Europe and Asia for 9 months before coming back to start full time work. Used couchsurfing a bit along the way, and always had great experiences.
I live in Sydney's inner west now, where I take my housemate's dog for runs, cycle around the nearby bays and sample all the multicultural cuisine on offer in the area. I also like to run, sometimes a lot. If you're a runner, more than happy to show you some of my favourite run spots.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Happy to host people if the dates work (generally only weekends). Otherwise, if you're in Sydney and want to know some good running spots, bars and beaches send me a message. I also speak Mandarin and love to practice with native-speakers and teach newbies some basics.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've done couchsurfing in Chile, Argentina and Brazil and always had great experiences. Also met up with people from couchsurfing in Europe but never got around to using it there.
Interests
Football, running, most sports. A beer or more. A good book by the beach. Sun. Surf. Talking politics, current affairs etc. Monty Python. Other british comedies. Australian comedies. Hiking. Coffee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The sunrise from Huangshan, with a cloud that looked like a dragon. Cycling the world's most dangerous road in Bolivia on a massive hangover. Celebrating Carnival in Salvador, Brazil. Zip-lining along a 1.5km wire over a river near Macchu Piccu in Peru. Trekking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea with my dad.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've studied Chinese (Mandarin) for over 10 years, and I've taught and tutored people in the past, from absolute beginners to university students.
