About Me
CURRENT MISSION
2013 U.S. coast to coast road trip
ABOUT ME
Currently I'm a vegetarian chef working for one of the most interesting and community driven restaurants in Central Florida. We are tied to a local co-op and Holistic Living School, the first in Orlando. My passion lies therein. I live to help bring vegan delights to as many people as I can, since we're some of the only people doing this in our city. Orlando is quickly becoming the hub for alternative and health driven living in Florida and I've worked the past 10 years towards this. Also though, I love to drink with friends, stay up late watching Battlestar Galatica and Star Trek, record music in my studio, talk philosophy, canoe, cycle, walk, dream, lay on my roof at night and watch the stars, and travel when I can occasionally get enough time away from work.
PHILOSOPHY
The Power of Silence. The spoken word is the most magical and powerful force man can wield. I believe in taking great care to understand those around you and especially direct attention to the person speaking immediately to you. Love and compassion are the fundamentals from which this desire can blossom.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
While in the UK last spring, I got to take my passion for cycling to the mountains and decided this year I couldn't avoid something even more extreme back home in my own beautiful country. This fall I am touring across the U.S. using the American Cycling Association's Southern Tier maps. I am starting in reverse, coming from Florida to California and plan on taking a couple months to accomplish this feet. I will be camping for most of it so even being provided a space to pitch a tent would be a great blessing. I will be unavailable to host until spring next year, as I am not sure how long this endeavor may begin to expand in duration. Grateful for resources like this community!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
2012 marked my first year of couchsurfing, as I recently became aware of it through a friend I traveled with.
So far my first experiences have been in Paris, France and throughout the UK. All have been fulfilling moments of new friendship that will forever convince me that more and more people should partake in this global sharing of intellect and couches! :-)
Interests
My greatest interest lies in creating music that expresses the most surreal moments of human feeling and thought. Those places where psychology can't explain a damn thing of what you're feeling. I'd like to travel all over and spread this expression and meet like minded people looking for that outlet. In much of the same way I feel that Science Fiction in many formats crosses boundaries that might limit other artistic formats. In short, I live for Sci-Fi and music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most memorable moments in my life while traveling was whale watching in Maine. Two giant Humpbacks rose straight up out of the water just feet away from front of the boat where I was. The mist flew off their bodies and onto my face, and then sunk directly back down in a glorious display.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always happy to share my skills with food and beverages of all kinds. That includes cooking for you. In the same way I love to learn local culinary secrets and swap recipes.
