About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To continue to challenge myself and be challenged by those around me; to step outside of my comfort zone in order to expand it!

ABOUT ME

I love to travel!!!! I get itchy feet after being in one place for a while and need to go on an adventure. I love to learn about new people and places. Biggest fear is becoming stagnant or apathetic in life. Motto is that it's better to live richly than to die rich.

I enjoy working for a sustainable agriculture nonprofit organization. It's busy work, but I am passionate about the mission so it makes any stress worth it!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to CS by my friend when we couch surfed together around Eastern Europe in 2007. I was an amazing and culturally eye-opening experience, and I will always try to travel this way in the future! Hosted a bit when I lived in Alaska. Not as many requests for Pennsylvania for some reason :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met lots of kind, generous and beautiful people during my first couchsurfing adventure in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and Russia! I continue to be amazed by almost every experience I have with couch surfers, whether as a host or guest. I am inspired by all the beautiful souls out there and so thankful that CS connects us in this way. Thank you, Couch Surfing!!

Gardening, local foods, hiking, reading, yoga, gymnastics, volleyball, kayaking, scuba diving, cooking, knitting! Want to learn home brewing, hula dancing, German, Japanese, to play an instrument, how to ride a unicycle...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last week, I sat beneath a gadzillion stars on a shore in Baja California and was serenaded by a symphony a whales - exhalations, songs and splashes from thousands of whales that migrated to the Bahia San Ignacio to birth their young.
