ABOUT ME

Hmmm... I have an extremely strong wander-lust that keeps me on the go. I am a morning person. Some people say I'm the funniest girl they know, and I consider that the highest compliment one might ever receive.

I am a public health microbiology student. The first year can be done online, so I'm using that time to travel around Europe, too!

Just graduated with a neuroscience major. Weird switch, I know, but it makes sense when I explain it! I used a volunteer for GMHC, the very first HIV/AIDS organization in the whole wide world. I answered the phones and answer a lot of good and odd and scary and fake questions. I also volunteered as an ER Advocate for survivors of sexual assault & domestic violence. Equally eye-opening. Lastly, I was a caregiver/companion to one bad ass and lovely 93 year old woman (and some others, but she's my favorite). One of the most valuable and simple lessons: Enjoy being able to control your pee while you still can.

PHILOSOPHY

Eh, I suppose if I have one it would be to take opportunities as they come. I've had a pretty incredible life so far because of it.

Trying to get my butt out to go running, food, conversation, history books, comic books, antiques, power tools, crossword puzzles, road trips, train trips, being a geek (and the usual trappings that come with that sort of thing), new places, creative ways to be frugal, etc.
