ABOUT ME

I grew up in the Midwest, fled to the Appalachian Mountains for college, then fled to other continents. When I ran out of money, I wound up back in the Midwest, in Chicago. I didn't expect to stay long, but, strangely, I found myself in love with it. Now that I've settled in, and have a permanent address again, I'm looking forward to meeting the many travelers coming through this city.
I love new ideas, and having my assumptions shattered. Chicago surprised me; I like people to surprise me, too.

I've surfed and hosted, and the most important thing I've learned is that communication between the two parties is absolutely key. It sucks being stuck in limbo not sure if you're going to have a place to stay/have someone coming to your place. Always try to make the effort to confirm requests on both ends. I think everyone will find they appreciate it. I'll certainly do my best whether I can host you or not.
