ABOUT ME

On a daily basis, I am struck with overwhelming awe by the serendipitous beauty that permeates life. I have large hands and I don't think its relationship to my psyche is accidental. I revel in exploring the vast spectrum of human experience- the sacred to the profane, the pleasurable to the painful, the insane to the meditative, and so I use these large hands to take hold of the fantasies and wonders that capture my imagination. I also have wide eyes for keen observation, and a strong body for intense exploration. I would get along swimmingly with Henri Rousseau. We both tend to blur the lines between dreams and reality.

PHILOSOPHY

Connections, connections! They're everywhere!
and I avidly piece the fragmented, yet related events together. Sometimes the connections are so undeniable I am convinced they are affirmations of an un/conscious will or longing. I keep my mind and heart open and I am always led in the direction that is best for me. The law of attraction is powerful, very powerful. Visualize your wants or needs and don't worry about how they will come to you. The world just has a way of providing the right tools when you need them.

I have open arms and unending love for anyone that I cross paths with. My door is always open so stop by. We can tell stories of distant, ancient lands and giggle with a child's delight and that love will reverberate

Interests

cabinets of curiosities, small but encyclopedic collections of all things rare and marvelous. And teas, temples, shrines, palaces, fortresses, tapetries, paintings, jewels, liquors, icons, drugs, dyes, sweets, silk, ores, shiny metals, spices, musical instruments, ivory daggers and ivory dolls, masks, bells, carvings, leopards on leashes, peacocks, monkeys, white elephants with tattooed ears, horses, camels, conquerors, travelers, magicians, prophets, scholars, madmen, sages, mystics, dreamers, prostitutes, dancers, fanatics, poets, thieves, warriors, seductions, concerts, strange philosophies and magnificences and things too fearsome to be recounted, all writhing, cascading, jumbling, mixing, splashing, and spinning; vast, complex, inexhaustible, forever.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll save the books/music/movies conversation for when we're sharing a pot of tea. They are my staples in life and my feelings for them are best conveyed when you can hear passion in my voice and see conviction in my gestures.
With that said, I like the kind of movies that get me kicked out of the theatre for laughing boisterously or crying hysterically. I watch movies more often than I shower! HAH! I'm especially partial to silent films, documentaries, and foreign films but it's all good to me.
Herman Hesse is my first literary love.
I'm cultivating a fascination with Tom Robbins's work.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in a reverie while looking up at the hunter's moon and very suddenly my mind traveled backwards in evolutionary history to (Rousseau's) state of nature. Each phase of modern technological and social developement was stripped away in chronological REgression. At a phenomenol speed, computers, cars, bombs, strip malls, electricty, sky scrapers, etcetera, whizzed by. My vision stopped with hunter-gathers subsisting on natural bounty. I could explain why this vision was so powerful but let it suffice to say that it has influenced all my decisions since.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an avid seamstress. I can teach ya some basics or help ya mend some old favorites.
I love to cook fresh, healthy, simple meals. Show me a farmer's market and I'll show ya how to make some of my favorite dishes.
I'm extremely interested in learning more about organic farming, knitting/crocheting, bioregionalism, and developing my singing voice.
I'll trade ya skill for skill. no money, honey.
