I'm a primary school teacher but wanted to get out and do some travelling. Mainly in Europe and hope to go to North America too at some point. I'm a musician (violin, viola, cello, trombone, guitar, singer, +dable in others) and a dancer (Lindy hop, Balboa, Blues).
I also enjoy the outdoors. I love a variety of activities in the outdoors including tramping/hiking (especially in big mountains), skiing, windsurfing, or just going to a river or bridge and jumping into some water on a nice summer's day.
I also love boardgames and games in general. I love interacting with others and remaining active in body and/or mind.
Another thing I love is discussions. Topics that I enjoy include deeper topics such as philosophy, politics and religion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people! It's just amazing the people that are out there and the connections that can be made. So at the moment I'm taking some time to travel and hoping to do attend as many swing dancing events as i can in the process.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a wide taste in music. As a classical violinist I enjoy classical music but also enjoy jazz as this is what I generally dance to. However in my spare time I will mostly listen to singer-songwriters with some elektro-swing, alt-rock, pop, and anything else that I think sounds good.

Often don't have too much time for movies but when I do watch them I enjoy action, sc-fi or thriller type movies or tv-series.

I've been getting into reading classics over the last few years (Some of the ones I've enjoyed include The Brothers Karamazov, Fahrenheit 451, 1984, The day of the Jackal, Lord of the Flies). But also like a mix of novels (fantasy or thriller) and non-fiction (biographies, philosopical, scientific, political topics).

Teach, Learn, Share

As a multi-instrumentalist (violin, viola, cello, trombone, guitar, singer, +dable in others) I'm happy to share and teach anything to do with music. I play a wide variety of genres so happy to learn a new style as well. Unfortunately atm don't have any instruments with me.

I am a dance teacher in Swing dancing. My main forte is in Lindy Hop which I've been dancing for approx 5 years. Also know a bit of Blues, Balboa and a few basics in other styles. Always happy to learn new styles and find people to dance with.
