About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I've got so much to learn... about myself and the world. It'd be a shame for me to stay still.

ABOUT ME

I'm a college student and am still developing as a person. I'm constantly changing, but maybe the more consistent things in me are as follows. I think I'm funny. My mom disagrees, but... ehh, ya can't please them all. And I love to eat. Everything else about me is still a working progress.

PHILOSOPHY

I feel like people should be accepted regardless of their differences as long as it doesn't hurt anybody including themselves. Destructive criticism only brings negativity, and we should always strive for a bright impression.

And chocolate. Chocolate's an amazing philosophy.

Interests

I'd love to list out my interests, but my interests always seem to surprise me in places where I least expect it.

But stories... I like stories. And being outside.

Music, Movies, and Books

-Moonrise Kingdom (or almost any Wes Anderson movies)
-Mood Indigo/L'écume des Jours directed by Michel Gondry.
-Winnie The Pooh Movie (silly, but I loved it)
-I like all kinds of movies especial the more whimsical kind.
-As for music, I love Regina Spektor. For lack of a better term, she took my concert virginity. It was awesome.
-Ella Fitzgerald is amazing.
-And every other genre or artist, I love bits and pieces of– especially the 60's-70's.
-Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie
-Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
-Ask The Dust by John Fante
-Eat. Pray. Love. by Elizabeth Gilbert
-Junie B. Jones series by Barbara Park (introduced me to reading)
-Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (got me addicted to reading)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got one of my poems called "Swing Set" published in the poetry book, Poppy Road Review 2013. Most amazing thing that I've done in my short life, at least.

And how I was raised by a pack of wolves, swam from Antarctica to the North Pole, battled blood-thirsty sharks, and found the lost city of Atlantis? Well, that's a different story for another day :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
-I am ridiculously passionate in the art of story-telling. I love the craft of putting opinions and emotions into prose, poetry, lyrics, and so on. So, if you want to discuss literature and movies, I'm down. (Not claiming to be an expert though. I'm not as well-read as I want to be.)
-I know a lot of random facts, and am interested in learning more random facts.
-I know how to do duck calls. It's more humorous than impressive, but I still think it counts as a talent ^_^

Learn:
-History. I have a love-hate relationship with history classes in school. I didn't like being graded (because I'm terrible with chronology, years, and names of generals), but I love the stories in history.
-Fairy-tales, myths, sayings, and so on....
-How to cook? Something simple, I cook simple (haha)

I, in no way, understand the ins and outs of the world, but I do have opinions. And sharing them, I feel, widens a person's understanding (not of the word, but of themselves). So, I'd love talking about anything and everything :) That way we can learn and teach each other. Differences don't mean inferiority.
