About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Follow the white rabbit.

ABOUT ME

I'm a great dreamer who forgets everything, loses keys, phone, sometimes even myself. However, apart from dreaming, I make my dreams come true as well.

PHILOSOPHY

Slightly new hedonism: I am filled with a wild desire to know everything about life. Something seems to throb in my veins! Whatever seems to bring pleasure to my mind and body at the time, is just correct for me and I go for it.

WHAT'S UP

Atm, I’m working on a bigger, independent documentary film/socially engaged arts project in South East Asia about homelessness. Hence, I’m moving to Manila for a while, where the project will mostly unfold.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A wise couchsurfer once said that he loves to be by himself but socialising is still an intrinsical part of a human being, particularly when travelling. I agree with that and so that's why I guess.

I used to host quite a lot back in Krakow, Poland and Liverpool, UK, pretty much loved people showing around and sharing whatever I had to share. Now I live with my bf in London so can't quite host, but still, love to meet travellers whenever I have a spare moment.
I was also hosted by a bunch of marvellous people and their generosity still makes me amazed!
That being said, I also had some bumps on my couchsurfing way.

Interests

If we can carry a conversation about filmmaking (pre, filming or post, equipment, techniques, whatever) for longer than a few hours then I believe I must ditch my current life and become a sole member of cult focused on worshipping you.
I love amazing people with thrilling stories. I love hearing the stories and recording them. I collect the stories and close them in my Pokeballs.
I would say I am a simple human being - I like to eat different foods and cooking in my own kitchen. Occasionally, I get smashed (if both the company and the place are right). I like to drink whisky and rum, straight. I like sake. I like beer. I like wine. I don't like tequila and vodka.
I like to go to the gym and watch a good film. If it's not a documentary film, then I tend to think of it as time wasted.
I read New Scientist and The Economist. And nonfiction mostly.

Music, Movies, and Books

It's an eclectic mix.
I used to update the list, but I just can't be bothered anymore. I'm sure we will talk about it if we ever meet and I'm sure there will be at least one thing that we will both like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've found myself. And gone full-time for the red pill.

Teach, Learn, Share

How to take blurry pictures and shaky footage on a mirrorless camera.
How to cook an amazing risotto.
How to become cynical.

I would like to learn how to keep my iPhone battery on 100% all the time. That would mean a universe to me.
I would also like to learn how to tie a fisherman's knot and build a wooden shed without nails.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The above.
