Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I've opened a hostel for the pilgrim walkers along the St. James Way (Chemin de St. Jacques de Compostelle) that crosses France, continuing to Santiago de Compostella. People from all over the world walk this beautiful nature trail.
ABOUT ME
Like all members of CS I enjoy meeting people and travelling... all those surprises make life interesting and often funny too. Can anyone think of anything better than sharing travellers tales around a dinner table?
PHILOSOPHY
simplicity and authenticity are beautiful, and friendship is full of love and trust... these three take us a long way towards "la joie de vivre".
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Everyone is unique, and CSurfing is a happy way of sharing one's home and free time with those passing through one's town, hoping for a friendly greeting and a comfortable bed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While living in China I hosted a little - then got busy travelling myself. But now I'm pretty settled again in Cahors, so I'd be pleased to meet travellers for drinks and friendly tips, and put up folk too, if the hostel is not full.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like movies that move and inspire me, music that makes me dream, and books where I learn something new...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a trip to Tibet, and was so touched by the sweet open people there, and awed by the pure air and quality of the light. Seeing those vast open plains with their herds of yaks, the nomad tents, the little villages where flowers are painted around the windows and doors... somehow brought me a new perspective of life - I guess that is what travelling is all about.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share what I have learned about Chinese art and calligraphy... I can share quiet moments of meditation and inspiring music, or an evening sipping drinks on the terrace of a cafe on a square, or a cycle along the river Lot, so famous here. If someone could teach me to sing a song in tune... Man! I'd be happy!!
