Interests

I'm usually very curious and I'm interested to learn all kinds of things. Usually I use my spare time to read about currents events, world politics and technology. Lately, I've found a weird interest for legal matters and I'm also learning French. I love cooking, I have a weird style of not really measuring the ingredients I use, but the result is still acceptable almost every time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read anything that I find interesting - which is most of the stuff I come across - but I especially enjoy reading texts related to subcultures/counterculture, world politics, technology and history.
I'm not that interested to read fiction, but I admit there are some really well-written stories out there that I really need to familiarise myself with.

I recently started collecting old maps, especially of those related to Europe. This is a very expensive hobby, but I hope to have a nice collection by the time I'm old and grumpy. ;)

My all-time favourite film director is Wes Anderson, his films always have a world of their own that is impossible to describe without sounding really silly.
My favourite actress is Charlotte Gainsbourg, she has that intriguing kind of French appeal to her.

I enjoy many styles of music and I mostly listen to electronic (house, psytrance, ambient, minimal), jazz, piano, classical and oldschool rock'n'roll every now and then. Weird stuff like italodisco, 80's synthesizers and demoscene music also appeal to me.

Yann Tiersen, Depeche Mode and AC/DC are artists that are familiar to most people and whom I really like. There are of course many little-known Finnish bands and so forth that I enjoy, you can ask me more of those if you're interested.
