About Me
Hi!
My name is Juuso and I was born and raised in Finland. Let's just start with the boring facts about me:
I lived the first 20 years of my life in my hometown Lahti and then after the compulsory military service I moved to Tampere to study civil engineering in Tampere university of technology. I just recently graduated as a master of science and will start working as a production engineer in a construction site soon in Helsinki region. That's why I live in Espoo nowadays, which is more or less part of Helsinki.
During my studies I also did an exchange semester in South Korea, which was by far the best part of my studies even though the rest really wasn't that bad either. I studied in Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) for one semester in the humanist campus, which is located in Seoul. I really loved the country and the city, for me it's fair to say that South Korea really is the hidden pearl of Asia, since it isn't that touristy yet.
Oh and about those languages: I'm only fluent in English and from the rest I only know more or less the really basics. I can somewhat understand conversations in Swedish, but I just suck at speaking it ;P
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like everyone else in this website I'm really into traveling, experiencing new places and meeting new people. It's especially interesting to talk to people from different cultural backgrounds since it gives you such an unique perspective on things. Couchsurfing seems like a place where it could be easy to find people to meet abroad or who could need some hints for visiting Finland.
Interests
I'm really open minded to try out different stuff or at least consider trying ;)
I like doing sports and right now running, gym and ice-hockey are the closest to my heart. Other than that of course I'm also really into just being lazy and relaxing as well.
I'm not a huge party person when it comes to dancing in clubs and such. Instead I would rather have conversations while enjoying a beer or two in a pub for example after some sightseeing during the day.
For me traveling is all about having fun and experiencing new things, so sense of humor and not stressing too much about anything is crucial. My sense of humor is a bit sarcastic at times but usually I'm pretty good at being relaxed ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm open minded on this one as well, so I don't really have any favorites to mention. Usually I'm more into music and movies than reading books, but I'm trying to improve on the book reading :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Apart from all the travels I've done so far, I would say definitely my exchange semester in South Korea. Just out of words to describe how awesome it was and how much I liked the country.
