Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I used to host many, many people. Now, living as a nomad, I only accept CS guests every now and then.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So many great experiences. Just have a look at the references i left other surfers below for a slight impression of the great stuff CS has brought me :). Really, it's life changer.

...

OOPS haven't been keeping track for a long while, can't keep up!

July 2009:
Shared a few pancakes and many wines with Benjamin from Ohio, USA. :)

June 2009:
Christian from Berlin, Germany attended a congress on number theory and left me quite fascinated about being a number myself.

May 2009:
Gianluca and Matteo toured Holland and cooked us delicious pasta carbonara.

Winter 2008-2009:
Maaaaan it's quiet! Are there no tourists in winter? Have you all gone to Amsterdam?

November 2008:
Josh & Dinko from the States played squash with Marco, took me out to brunch, and were great company to both of us. Thanks guys :).

September 2008:
Done some nice walking and talking with Ian from Great Britain.

29-31 August 2008:
Hee Chang from South Korea enlightened us with lessons in asian dancing, politeness, cooking, language and culture.

31 July - 11 August 2008:
WOW! Our first vacation since we discovered Couchsurfing. We did an Eastern Europe round trip from Utrecht to Vienna (Austria), Lake Balaton (Hungary), Budapest (Hungary), Krakow (Poland) and Dresden (Germany). Thank you Georg, Rob & Ami, Peter & Katalyn, Pawel & Paula and Michael! This is so much better than staying at campings and hotels :)

16 July 2008:
Hosted Mariana from Marseille, another happy cs experience :)

5 July 2008:
First time surfing myself! We were hosted @ great location in Paris by very friendly host Regis & his girlfriend Aurélie.

3 July 2008
Hosted last minute kiwi Tom. The best.

27 june 2008:
Henriette from Berlin, Germany will be studying in The Netherlands but... first she had to do her final exams in the Dutch language! She definitely passed, and we had a good time.

8 june 2008:
Eylem from Turkey would be here, but couldn't get a ticket. Maybe he'll be here beginning of July.

30 May 2008:
Katja from Dresden, Germany came to Utrecht to explore Utrecht's student life, which I think she liked enough to enjoy for another year.

1 May 2008:
Dragos & friend from Rumania would be here but couldn't make it. Maybe see you guys later if you are still coming to Holland!

21 APRIL 2008:
Peter from Budapest, Hungary was in Utrecht to experience his first DJ-concert: Armin van Buuren. What good luck to have him over at our place. Great guy.

16 APRIL 2008:
Just waved bye to Kinkini and Abishek from India, who were on their way from Paris to Berlin and stayed over for two nights. Nice guys, warm people.

14 APRIL 2008:
We're having friends (or their friends) over all the time here... just weren't aware of the CSP until last month. Seems a lot like our kind of thing, at least I love the warm welcomes I received upon subscribing from all over the world :)

7 APRIL 2008:
Surfed this guy Paul's couch (instead of getting a hostel, the escape plan). These guys were good fun. Great couch, great humor; smart, kind of no-nonsense guys and very hospitable, but even more important: great host! for I felt safe and (unintendedly) slept for 20 hours. As soon as Paul decides to sign up for CS, I will recommend his couch to anyone!

6 APRIL 2008:
Met these 2 guys Brian and Paul in Dublin hotel, told them about CS. They had never heard of it, but were obviously very open minded people :)

30 MARCH 2007:
You could be my first!
