I believe that traveling is a huge part of developing and growing as a human being. There is so much out there to experience, so get off your own couch and be a couch surfer some where in the world.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. 2 weeks after my 24th birthday I boarded a plane to South Korea to become an English teacher for a year. Little did I know that that one year would turn into three. I finished my third year of teaching English in South Korea two years ago and I still cannot believe the experiences I had while there. They are beyond anything I could have imagined. I have developed so much as a human being.
I was lucky enough to have been able to travel throughout some parts of Asia while living in Korea and traveling is something I cannot get enough of. When I finished my teaching gig in South Korea I had the pleasure of traveling around Asia before heading home to Canada and I loved every minute of it.

I live my life with no regrets. Life is all about learning and growing from experiences.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm hoping to provide people with an opportunity to travel to places and experience them first hand from some one who lives there. I believe that every one should have the opportunity to experience other parts of the world and if I can provide them with a couch to sleep on and show them around than I'm more than willing to do that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have now hosted five couch surfers and they were good experiences. I've had many requests and tried to accommodate as many people as possible.
I'm enjoying expanding my couchsurfing experience.

Intereses

I'm a happy person and a neat freak. I really like my house clean and organized. I love to host at my house and I'm pretty easy going about what can and can't be done while visiting.
I enjoy hanging with friends, listening to all kinds of music, watching movies, traveling and reading books.
Baseball, hockey and figure skating are my favourite sports.
I absolutely love Korean food (kamjatang, dulkgalbi, BBQ, sundubu jiggae and kimchi jiggae, gimbop, etc).
I like to drink, dance and karaoke.
I'm also a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe and James Dean.

Música, películas y libros

Chronicles of Narnia (books and movies), Harry Potter series (books and movies), The Happiness Project, Water for Elephants, Girl with the Pearl Earring and Scar Tissue. Korean pop music. The Twilight book series and Hunger Games book series are my guilty pleasures. I will watch almost any movie, except for anything Science Fiction. I also really enjoy foreign language films.

I gave up my life back home in Canada to experience life overseas and to travel.

I've done a lot of amazing things and I've seen a lot of amazing things. Some examples:

I para sailed in the Philippines.

Visited a Tiger Temple in Thailand and rode on the back of an elephant.

Biked around Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Jumped off a boat in freezing weather and freezing water during a Halong Bay boat tour in Vietnam.

I've eaten squid while it was squirming around on the plate.

I've tried some insects while in Thailand. Cricket is quite tasty.

My life has been a pretty great ride.

I think one of the most important things in life is not necessarily what you know, but who you know. Knowing people from all over the world can be very beneficial.
