ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Jon, born and raised in the countryside in the southwest of sweden. Love to have nature and forrest close and easily accesible. It took me quite some time to learn to appreciate life in the city:) Done quite alot of mountainbiking in my youth, but the rides are getting fewer and fewer in concurence with cross-country running and school (I'll do m y very best to stop this negative trend). I've just got a Bachelour degree in engineering physics at the university of Chalmers, Gothenburg and will take a year off before continuing school. That year started off with me and two friends going backpacking in eastern europe, a great journey, and is now contiuning with me working at the physics institute at chalmers.
PHILOSOPHY
still working on it ...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I guess I'm just a regular member who think CS is a great way of meeting people from all over our globe ...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had my first CS experiences when I was travelling europe in the beginning of the summer. The very first time doesn't really count, me and my friends got in touch with a girl in Cracow who happened to be the owner of a Youth Hostel..., but the people we met there were great! A soft party evening in Sarajevo thank's to CS and ... My first (and the only) proper couchsurf was at Marcus place, I tumbled into his life an afternoon and got a day's education in the art of living a good life in Zürich. Anyway, just a taste bite of CS this far, but it was good!
Interests
I'm usually open to try alot of things, but when i'm deciding myself I often end up riding my bike or running the neighbourhoods of gothenburg. I rather do sports myself then look at other people doing them, soccer on TV is not my thing. I also really like spending time at my parents farm, helping with the daily work or just doing anything else that you can do in the countryside... Also like reading and I which I had more time for that, there are so many people who have put there great ideas and thoughts on paper.
CISV (www.cisv.org) is a peace organisation for youth that I been working with alittle bit the last years, another great way of meeting people from around the world. I also have the intention of learning Lindy Hop this autumn, I have some serious concerns about my abilities on the dancefloor, but it looks to be fun and I'll have to try.
