ABOUT ME

I'm a research based project artist. My work is focused on our relationship to the natural world, hospitality, and the kitchen. You can learn more at my website: http://walkertufts.com

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't often had a residence where I could host surfers for the past couple years, though the exceptions to this have been great. Most of my experience with actual couchsurfing has been in Europe but I've met many amazing people through meetups and other CS events and even done some off website couchsurfing with the relatives of former hosts from the site!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great! Nothing but good times. From an amazing Christmas party with other travelers in Amsterdam to being rescued from a jam by brothers of host's boyfriends to learning my favorite card games to late night conversations CS has been nothing but fun and enlightening so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

went cave diving in Hana with a guy we'd just met and one flashlight. He'd dive into a hole and swim away, we'd count to 30 dive in and swim towards the light. at the end of a few of these dark dives the caves opened onto a 20 foot drop into a crystal clear bowl of water surrounded by rainforest foliage.

Teach, Learn, Share

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a pretty good cook, have some basic construction skills, am adept at rearranging furniture, have read a whole lot (fiction wise I could talk about scifi for quite a while) really enjoy dancing, swimming, walking, and adventures.
