About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I travel to refresh my soul! My current mission is just that.
ABOUT ME
I am an extroverted kid who grew up nestled in the shadow of the rocky mountains. I like eating pistachio ice-cream at The Rock House in Palmer Lake, juicing ginger in my mothers kitchen, and experimental cooking (which sometimes fails miserably) at my house or my friends' house. I have 'the family eyes' as my little sister Katie states, a mix of wanderlust and high-altitude living. I love backpacking the forest, and city-survival. Soon, I will be living in Wrangell Alaska, a whole new adventure!
PHILOSOPHY
I want to leave this world better than it was when I came in.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think that some of our most moving and memorable experiences are brought on by the catalyst of another person, be it the stranger who struck up a random conversation, the person you've known for 20 years doing something so random that for a second they seem totally new to you. With Couch Surfing it's a chance to throw a random ingredient into the batter of life, if you will. I'm just starting this, so I hope to give my share to the mix, and leave with a better recipe than I started with.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The best couch surfing experience I've had to date was getting to crash out in the woods of New Hampshire with two girls I meet in Chicago (now some of my closest friends). The couch wasn't that great, but the company and the scenery were premo!
The worst was having to sleep on the floor in an old fold out that smelt like vomit, and it was raining the whole time in the city I was visiting. But, I made it work!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done to date, traveling wise, was backpacking Europe with my 3 good friends.
I've been in political rallies, which always carry such a large energy it's hard not to be moved.
I've seen the birth of my little sister (we're 13 years apart) and that was pretty spectacular.
I must say, though, that living has been, over all, a totally wild wild ride, and I think it's hard to judge. I've had a lot of "if I died now I'd be happy" moments. I can't decide which is best.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you all about what it was like to grow up in a small conservative american town. I can show you some chords on the guitar, or talk to you in Lehman's terms about science and our universe. I can share with you the sponged knowledge I've learned, the places I've been, and hear about yours. By schooling and experience I'm a journalist and poet. I take human moments and conditions and communicate them on through words, written and spoken. Soon, I hope to do the same with film and music.
