To see as much of the world as possible, and to learn more about myself in the process

ABOUT ME

I've moved from Moscow to New York City to Boston to Paris, where I am currently living (though not for too long), working, and trying to figure out where to go next and what to do with my life.

I think of New York as a home and the place where I feel most comfortable in the world. But I am slightly addicted to traveling, and I try to get to know each place I go to as best as I can. I enjoy walking, biking, trying local food; I love exploring cities in general, discovering interesting places and things to do.

I look for beauty in everything. I like to cook for other people. One of my first stops in any new place is usually a food market. My drinks of choice are tea, white wine or gin & tonic. I enjoy doing crosswords; watching people play musical instruments; reading long e-mails. There is never enough time to see all the movies I plan to see. Other random things I love: skiing, campfires, birch trees, the New York Times, WNYC's Radiolab, TGV, biking through Paris at night, roofs of New York skyscrapers.

I've couchsurfed several times and hosted a few people as well -- so far, each experience has been great, so I'd love to continue and increase my involvement in CS.
