Overview
About Me
I'm a 26 yr old university student with a yearlong working-holiday visa for France.
I'll be staying in Hungary and Sweden until about mid-June or July, but am hoping to settle in Paris or Lyon and try to get a job teaching English
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm looking to meet new people - particularly in Budapest where I'll already have an apartment, and in France it'd be convenient not to have to stay in hostels while looking for work/apartments for myself.
Interests
I've been playing music since I was a kid. My parents are music teachers. I can play piano, trumpet, guitar, drums etc. - sing.
I just finished a Bachelors of Arts in Sociology and History at the University of British Columbia, so I'm interested in all things historical, sociological, psychological, philosophical, political etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like a lot of music, from classical to electro
I like blues and rock and jazz and some hip-hop
I'm fairly easy-going with that.
Movies: lists are hard to make
I like Kubrick and Tarantino - Star Wars
Wes Andersen
Books: I had a huge library in Vancouver but had to put them all in my sister's crawlspace.
My all-time favourite book would perhaps be The Catcher in the Rye, but I haven't read it in years.
I've preferred non-fiction to fiction in the last few years.
Right now I'm reading The Perception of Self in Everyday Life by Erving Goffman.
I also brought Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics with me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I helped my brother-in-law build a house on an island
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to think I'm a fairly good cook.
I'm also first-aid certified, so that helps.
I can find good playlists on Spotify.
