About Me
CURRENT MISSION
See the world, meet cool people, experience all life has to offer.
ABOUT ME
Hey! I'm Jordan. I'm a 24 year old Canadian
After university I worked as a cook for a bit before setting off to South Korea to teach English for a year. One year turned into two and at the end of February (2014)I finished my second contract and set off with my backpack.
Well I'm a Gemini which I think says a lot about me. I'm pretty out-going and I try to stay positive. I don't like to stay cooped up in my apartment for too long so I'm usually out and about doing something (even if its just walking around my neighbourhood). I love to hang out and do things with people but if my friends are busy I have no problem doing stuff on my own. I love meeting and talking to new people. I love hearing about people's experiences and perspectives on life, especially if they're different from my own. I pride myself on being a good friend and I'm always willing to help someone out if I can.
My next 6 months are dedicated to travel. I'm off to India from March until May (or so) then I'm heading to Europe until September. I'm keeping my schedule and itinerary flexible.
I'm gay so I'll be looking for queer-friendly hosts.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess my personal philosophy is just to try and be a positive influence in the world and have a happy life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to couch surf when I am traveling and host once I'm settled somewhere.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to the CS community but during university and shortly afterwards my roommates and I often had friends come and stay so I've experienced hosting people I don't know that well.

Music, Movies, and Books
Some stuff I've enjoyed include books by Haruki Murakami, David Sedaris, Patti Smith, Alice Walker, James Baldwin, Shelia Heti, Jean Rhys.
I'm pretty open when it comes to movies and music. I like a wide variety.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participated in the Jindo Sea-parting festival in the south of South Korea. There's a two-week period in the area where the currents change and the sea parts revealing a path to an island for a few hours a day.
