ABOUT ME
Well I'd like to call myself one of the most random and spontaneous persons in the world. You can call me up one day and say.. "Hey Jun, Let's go to shark cage diving!" or "Hey let's go take a Salsa Class", and I'll more then likely reply with a , "Solid! When and where!?"
In short, I just don't want to waste my life sitting at home watching life speed by. Give me an opportunity to be a part of or experience something new, I'll be stupid not to take it.
PHILOSOPHY
Not quite sure how to answer this. I'm not really a person with several viewpoints, theories, ideas.
I must say this though. Live your life. Do all the crazy, stupid things when you're young. Personally, I don't watch very much TV (few exceptions). I feel like people live their lives through media and television. If you wish your life was identical to those dramas, well sitting on your *ss isn't going to get you very far. Go out there and see what you can achieve.
Different topic - "why do people live"
Once again I don't have a clear answer to this. However,if anything I'd just say live for your mothers/fathers/family. Can't appreciate anything more then your own family
Put it this way....Think about your mother. Your mother had to carry you for 9 long months.... Then she constantly had to have an eye on you for at least 5 years, making sure you were safe and wasn't wrecked everything in the house. I'm pretty sure that's a rather tiring and stressful 6 years (and that's just the beginning). Live to pay her (and family) back I guess.
Once again, live for your family; you dont necessarily have to be perfect and make them proud and all, but make sure you help them smile once in a while.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
In 2011, I got the chance to study abroad in Germany for 6 months. That's when my buddy there told me I should give this "Couchsurfing" thing a try. Perhaps one of the best decisions ever.
I've been CSing for about 2 years now. Traveled all over Europe, and even a bit of Africa. My only regret thus far is not being able to return the favor. Several amazing people have hosted me and I'm looking forward to return the favor when I get back to Hawaii in January 2014.
Interests
I Love and Play most Sports. Soccer, football, softball, wrestling, golf, anything. But basketball is my favorite. I'll be on the courts at least 3, 4 times a week.Anything that involves the ocean or swimming leaves me smiling. Paddling, bodysurfing, snorkeling, super soaker wars, water balloon fights, whatever. I mean come on now, I'm from an island, I better love the ocean right? Oh and camping/party on the beach always leads to great times.Travelling is a great passion to me. If I have some extra time and money, I'm out the door travelling, no doubt. Money should be used for experiences and memories. Forget about luxury and worrying about looks, I'll figure that out later.I'm actually a real fan of the piano too. If I'm walking the strip/street and I see a piano store, don't be surprised if I disappear for a bit. Furthermore, Piano Bars = two thumbs up. Btw It doesn't mean I'm good at all though, just making that clear, haha.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My favorite song right now "Let's Go" - Calvin Harris / Neyo. It's a year or two old, but I still jam to it pretty hard.
Ne-Yo, Wale, Kanye West, Maino, Example, Colbie Cailat, Stained, Samantha James, Death Cab for CutieKaskade, David Guetta, Bingo Players, Deadmau5 (any type of House Music - the kind you can listen to while driving on the autobahn - absoulutey love it!)Movies: The Dark Knight, Inglorious Bastards, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshal, etc.Books: Kind of embarrassed to say, but I'm not too much of a reading fan. I should work on that..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most amazing thing I've seen, I really wouldnt know where to beginI guess one of my favorites would have to be the Uyuni salt flats. Imagine miles and miles of nothing but salt. Left, right, forward, back, 360 Deg.....nothing but white salt. I remember lying there for a while, and it was the closest I came to thinking about nothing (which is pretty hard if you ask me). The place takes your mind off everything. However, that's not even the coolest part. I was there during the end of the rainy season, the salt becomes wet and turns into the world's mirror. The reflection of the sky below your feet is incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
Back in Hawaii, I'm pretty confident with my SUP (stand up paddle-board) skills. I can for sure teach you how to paddle, and maybe even catch a wave or two.
Unfortunately, San Angelo doesn't offer as much surf action like Hawaii does, haha.
